The growth and trade in the communites in the Nile
The growth and trade alone the Nile
communities began to appear in 6000 b.c:
farming began to appear in both Egypt and Nubia somtime around 5000b.c
communities grew, trade also expanded
their houses were made out of brick and mud
Unlike the communities of the fertile Crescent that settled after taking up agricultures, the Nubians formed settlements befor they began to farm.
Living along the Nile:
Egypts early farming communities settled in the delta and valley regions of the Nile
delta's were built in fertile river beds
To the south, in upper Egyrt, people build scattered farming villages along the Nile.
Because of the shortage of farmland, Nubians added to their diet by fishing in the Nile and hunting duckes and other birds along its bankes.
A highway for trade:
the Nile was used to transport goods
they traded goods in the north and south, even with civilizations along the Mediteranian Sea
they traded goods ,silver and fine pottery
Valuable goods such as ceader from the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea and gold from Nubian were sold in the bazaars of Egypt's towns.
Routes through Nubia
because of the characters people could not travel through Nubia, they traveled by boat
Nubians became famous traders in the ancient world
They carried goods from central Africa and Nubia into Egypt and Southwestern Asia and brought that other goods back.
One Nubian caravan that traveled into Egypt had 300 donkeys.
